CES 2025, the world's largest ICT trade show, is back with a theme of "Dive in," attracting more than 4,800 companies from 160 countries. The event focused on solving global challenges and exploring new possibilities through the power of cross-industry collaboration.
The biggest buzzword this year was undoubtedly artificial intelligence (AI). Nearly every product on display featured AI technology, and the mantra of "AI Everywhere" is now a reality of "AI-in-Action". Here are some of the top AI trends and examples of AI in action across a variety of industries.

1. Smart mobility: Focus on safety and user-centered design

At the heart of vehicle technology is the software-defined vehicle (SDV), which has pushed the boundaries of human-centered technology.

  • LG Electronics introduced In-Cabin Sensing technology that recognizes the environment inside the vehicle and monitors the driver's condition. Real-time heart rate measurement, seatbelt detection, and more prevent accidents due to sudden health issues.

  • Honda and Sony unveiled the future of mobility, combining electric vehicles with immersive entertainment and advanced vehicle software.

  • Hyundai Mobis demonstrated its M.Brain system, which detects brain waves to identify dangerous situations such as drowsy driving, taking driver safety to the next level.

2. Industry-customized AI innovation

Industry-specific AI focuses on solving the unique challenges of each sector, and CES 2025 realized the possibilities in a variety of areas.
[Agriculture] John Deere showcased a fully autonomous tractor equipped with AI-powered sensors and GPS. Through precise data analysis, it plows, sows, and harvests fields on its own, solving the problem of labor shortages.
[Healthcare] Philips unveiled an AI-powered diagnostic imaging platform for radiologists to diagnose conditions like cancer faster and more accurately, improving patient outcomes.

3. Digital Health: Predictive, hyper-personalized care

Healthcare solutions that converge AI and IoT technologies have created a new paradigm of predictive medicine and personalized diagnostics.

  • Abbott introduced Lingo, a wearable device that analyzes blood glucose levels in real time. It works with a smartphone app to provide insights into other health metrics such as sleep, stress, and more.

  • France's Withings unveiled its Omnia smart mirror, which measures visceral fat, nutritional status, cardiovascular health, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and more, with the potential to expand to telemedicine capabilities in the future.

4. Sustainability: AI meets green

  • Sustainability emerged as a key theme across industries at CES this year.
Google showcased its AI-powered smart energy management system to optimize energy use in real-time, reduce waste, and help businesses operate greener.

  • Toyota shared the latest progress on its Woven City project, a smart city at the intersection of autonomous driving, robotics, and smart homes.

  • In agriculture, AI was also in the spotlight, enabling environmentally friendly farming by analyzing crop health and minimizing pesticide use.

5. Robotics: Extending AI into everyday life

AI-powered robots showed a new role in industry, daily life, and healthcare, emphasizing emotional interaction with humans.

  • Yukai Engineering unveiled Mirumi, an emotionally interactive robot that responds to its surroundings and human movements, emphasizing emotional connection.

  • France's Enchanted Tools showcased Mirokai, a service robot that will work in hospitals and schools. It performs both emotional care and guidance through facial expression animations and interactive displays.

CES 2025 proved that artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future, but a reality that is changing the world today. From smart mobility to healthcare to sustainability-AI is revolutionizing industries, improving our daily lives, and creating new solutions to the problems the world faces.
