A.I.MATICS (CEO Lee Hoon) has received Korea's first unstructured data quality certification grade A from WISESTONE for its global real-world road driving video data.
At the certification ceremony held at WISESTONE's headquarters on the 10th of this month, WISESTONE CEO Lee Young-seok and A.I.MATICS CEO Lee Hoon shared the significance of this achievement.
Data Quality Certification (DQ Certification) is a system that objectively evaluates the reliability and quality of data by a nationally accredited certification body designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT. This Grade A certification is the first certification case in Korea for unstructured data (video and image data), and is an official recognition of the quality and technology of A.I.MATICS' global real-world road driving video data.
In particular, Grade A means
A minimum score of 0.95 or higher in each of the mandatory and at least three optional audit items
It is the highest level of certification that can only be achieved by achieving an individual minimum score of 0.95 or higher and an average score of 0.99 or higher.
A.I.MATICS submitted a vast amount of road driving video and image data collected in various environments for certification to build a global safe driving control AI system, and achieved the highest rating in all categories, including data reliability, accuracy, and consistency.
The road driving video data certified by A.I.MATICS is a large-scale driving video and image dataset collected in various climates and road conditions, and is utilized as a core infrastructure for AI learning, autonomous driving, and safe driving control system development.
"This certification is an official validation of our AI technology and data management capabilities," said Lee Hoon, CEO of A.I.MATICS. "We will continue to build safe and reliable AI-based systems based on high-quality data."
In 2019, WISESTONE was recognized as the first internationally accredited testing laboratory (ISO/IEC 25024) for data quality in Korea by the Korean Organizations for the Advancement of Science and Technology (KOLAS), and last year, WISESTONE was designated as a data quality certification body by the Ministry of Science and ICT. This certification is seen as a testament to WISESTONE's know-how in data testing and certification.
"The award of the first unstructured data quality certification is a turning point that shows how important data quality is in the AI industry," said Youngseok Lee, CEO of WISESTONE. "We will take the lead in creating a reliable data environment in various industries."
This certification marks a significant milestone for A.I.MATICS in the development of autonomous driving and AI technologies. With this achievement, A.I.MATICS and WISESTONE will continue to lead the data quality standards across the AI industry and become a trusted provider of data-driven AI solutions in the global market.
